Monday

There will be a welcome reception featuring drinks and finger food on Monday evening at 19:30. The event will be held at Palazzo dell’Emiciclo (Via Michele Iacobucci, 4), which is a pleasant 20-minute walk through the city center from the conference venue.

Tuesday

Tuesday’s social event features a guided tour of the city, immediately followed by the conference banquet at Magione Papale. Transportation will be provided to the banquet, with return service to both the city center and western area.

The tour is organized into four groups leaving from the main entrance of the Luigi Zordan Congress Center starting from 17:10. Instructions on how to choose a group have been emailed to participants.

If you are not attending the guided tour and only joining for the banquet, please meet at Terminal Bus Collemaggio at 19:00.

Thursday

Thursday dinner will be held at Carpe Diem starting from 19:30. Carpe Diem is reserved exclusively for ALGO participants: just head inside and take a seat. The event is informal and features unlimited pizza and soft drinks. It also includes a limited supply of beer (with more available for purchase).

The event is about a 20-minute walk from the conference venue and a 5-minute walk from L’Aquila’s main square (Piazza Duomo). Members of the local organizing committee will meet at the main entrance of the Department of Human Studies building at 19:10 to walk together to Carpe Diem, feel free to join!

An ALGO bus leaves from “Fontana Luminosa” at 23:00 and heads towards the hotels on the western side of the city (please see the Local Information page).
